The men of Alpha Tau Omega, all across the country, are bound together under eternal and immutable principles. A primary part of these lessons is the importance of community service and philanthropic participation.

Our Mission

The Gamma Rho Chapter is actively involved with two major philanthropic initiatives each year: RAMS (Rocking Against Multiple Sclerosis) and the Coyote Hill Foundation. These efforts raise critical awareness for individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis as well as for vulnerable children in the foster care system. The Coyote Hill Foundation provides stability and safe homes for abused and neglected children, and this past fall Gamma Rho contributed over $30,000 to support their mission, bringing our lifetime donation total to more than $100,000. For RAMS, we participate in a weeklong series of events, including a campus-wide dance performance featuring numerous Greek organizations, all dedicated to raising awareness for children living with Multiple Sclerosis.

We believe that fraternity membership extends far beyond building lifelong brotherhood. As campus leaders, we strive each year to leave a meaningful impact on our community. Our involvement in every sorority’s philanthropic efforts, along with our ongoing commitment to community service, has been central to achieving that mission. Last year alone, Gamma Rho raised nearly $40,000 in philanthropic donations.

Philanthropic service is essential to the success of any Greek chapter, as it establishes purposeful goals and unites the community behind important causes. Alpha Tau Omega is committed to being the leading service-driven chapter at Mizzou, and we are proud of the significant progress we continue to make toward that goal.

Philanthropy and service are two of the things we pride ourselves most on. We participate in every sorority philanthropy and actively look for new ways to involve ourselves. Doing different service events is the best ways to meet new people and support a great cause at Mizzou.
